Weekend Away: Canberra (Part 2)

Wow. I must be the worst blogger ever. These pictures were taken in October 2017 during my long weekend in Canberra. I fully intended to post them a few days after “Weekend Away: Canberra (Part 1)” but two months later I still haven’t done that. Better late than never! I am not a massive fan of travel (feels like I’m the only one to ever say that!) but last year I developed a love for small, local trips. I usually like to combine them with a sporting event so I get a two in one benefit. I was in Canberra for the Masters Short Course State Championships for swimming and we made a long weekend of it. Canberra is a three hour drive from Sydney so good for a few days. I think I’ll be going back in a few months.

On the second day we visited Mt Ainslie Lookout and the Australian War Memorial. I’ll have one more post with my photos from Parliament House.

  1. LOL. The photos I used in my last blog is from last year as well. You’re not alone. 🙂
That’s okay. We work for ourselves.

    Have a great week ahead!

  2. It’s nice that you have a love for small, local trips now, Imogen. I think those are the best kind. Jess was just telling me how much she misses traveling and wants to go somewhere soon. It sounds like you got to see several sites on the mini trip you took in Oct. What a lovely dress to wear for the occasion. Those shoes are cool too – not too high and good for walking. Jess’ trip to Carmel was a short one too, but I’m glad both of you had a memorable and fantastic time away.

    love, ~Sheri

  3. Oh, don’t worry, Imogen, better late than never, I loved the pictures from last October! Canberra looks really cool, and it’s nice that you may be going there in a few months! I liked your skirt and your shoes, always so amazing! Hope you have a beautiful week!

  4. Aww Canberra looks so stunningly beautiful, I love the beauty and serenity your pictures showcase, truly gorgeous sweet Imogen! You look so dreamily stylish as always, the polka dot print detailing on your top is to die for and your skirt is adorable, crushing so hard on the ribbon and flower power vibes it radiates. Loving the colourful palm tree print of your hubby’s shirt too, you both make for the sweetest stylish couple 😀 So hope you get to go back to Canberra again in a few months, so enjoyed reading about this trip ❤
