I’m in Canberra at the moment enjoying a long weekend. This weekend I swam at the Masters NSW Short Course State Championships at the Australian Institute of Sport. I thought I’d use the opportunity to make a trip of it and do some sight seeing while in Canberra. It’s such a relief to now have the swimming meet out of the way and be able to relax on a mini break. I’ll get back into my training routine when we return to Sydney late Tuesday. This afternoon we visited the Canberra Botanic Gardens and went for a walk around Lake Burley Griffin. The Botanic Gardens were underwhelming. I was expecting a pretty set of gardens but instead it was rustic, Australian flora. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it just wasn’t my style. The lake, however, was very pretty and worth the visit.
This trip has been the perfect opportunity to wear my new Hummingbird dress from Kitten D’Amour. This collection was released last week and it’s my favourite from Kitten D’Amour all year. I haven’t liked as much there in recent times but this dress is one of my favourite pieces I’ve ever owned. I love the print but it is completely the collar which makes the dress for me. I’ve heard a lot of people don’t like the collar but I absolutely adore it. I hope Kitten D’Amour does more collars like this in the future.
Looking forward to more Canberra adventures tomorrow.
