Rose Quartz and Serenity

I love the Pantone colours of the year for 2016. Rose Quartz and Serenity are very beautiful and a welcomed refreshing choice after the 2015 Masala shade. I certainly wasn’t expecting two colours even though they go perfectly together. While the Pantone chosen colour/s certainly don’t influence my outfit choices or have much impact in my daily life, I thought it would still be fun to create a couple of sets with these shades especially given that they are very consistent with my style. I’ve found myself wearing pale blue and pale pink frequently in the past couple of weeks since Kitten D’Amour released the Arabesque Collection which entirely consists of pastel yellow, pink and blue dresses. In fact I just realised that today I wore a pale blue dress from Kitten D’Amour with a pale pink patterned cardigan from Wheels and Dollbaby.ย  It looks like Rose Quartz and Serenity are already very much a part of my life.

Are you a fan of this shade?ย

  2. Aahh, I love that “Frozen” sweatshirt. We watched the movie “Frozen” at Christmas time, and we all laughed and thought it was delightful. The dress underneath is very feminine and lovely. And the purse and shoes are cute too. Yes, I am a fan of the color Rose. It's soft and pretty.

I hope the new year is being good to you so far, Imogen.

    love, ~Sheri

  3. Pink and blue look wonderful styled together. Whilst I've oft lamented that Pantone generally fails to include a vibrant feminine pink amongst its colour choices when polling for colour(s) of the year, I do love that a colour in the pink range is one of this year's colours and that they've paired it with a colour in the pastel blue range. Though I won't be specifically looking for 'Rose Quartz' pink and 'Serenity' blue I'm sure I'll end up purchasing some outfit pieces in colours that come close to them. The Kitten D'Amour Arabesque Collection sounds lovely.
