Outfit: Hearts & Lips

Thank you so much for your beautiful, supportive and encouraging comments on my last post. The blogging community is incredible, I’m so lucky to have such wonderful friends and it means the world when you can relate to how I feel. You’ve made such a difference to my life. The whole situation regarding work still hurts me a lot but I’m starting to feel a little better. I take comfort in the fact that the situation was beyond my contrtol; it certainly wasn’t a reflection of my performance and I wasn’t in the wrong. The whole experience boosted my confidence and the workforce no longer scares me; I believe I’m capable of performing in any role I undertake in the future. Also, it’s opened my eyes to the true nature of the competitive business environment and taught me to watch out for myself. Never again will I be a workaholic or give so much of myself to a company; I’m going to achieve a much healthier work life balance and focus on what’s important to me such as family, friends and fashion. Eventually the negativity of my experience will be a distant memory but for now I’ll still shed a tear.

Now onto the outfit. This is what I wore today for father’s day; I hope my dad realised the intentional nature of the heart print. My cardigan is from the new season collection from Alannah Hill; I was fortunate enough to purchase it online for a very discounted price. I was super excited when I first saw this cardigan. For years I’ve pictured a cardigan just like this one in my mind, telling myself that if I was a fashion designer I’d create it immediately. I was so surprised when I actually saw it in Alannah Hill. I love the rainbow hearts. There are endless possibilities in terms of styling this cardigan; I’ve already thought of so many fun and colourful looks I can create. When I feel sad, like this weekend, I like to wear my heart print cardigan.

In accordance with the heart theme, I thought it would be a good opportunity to show you my new lip shape bag which I received courtesy of OASAP. I’m absolutely in love with the realm of lip shaped clutches that have entered the fashion world in recent times. When OASAP contacted me in relation to blog cooperation I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to acquire one of the sweet and fun clutch bags. I couldn’t decide which colour to choose; there are some lovely shades of pink lip clutches, but I thought red would be most fitting since I have red lips myself most days. I’m so happy with this bag; the functionality, quality and design are all wonderful. Thank you OASAP for this opportunity. The lip clutch can be found here.
